Industrial visits provide an interface between educational and organizational environment. Industrial orientation is aimed at helping the students in understanding the practical aspects of what students study in classrooms. With this opinion, IMSEC Ghaziabad under the guidance of Dr. Sraban Mukherjee-Director organized an industry visit to MoMagic 15th -October 2018. A group of students of B.Tech-Computer Science & Engineering-IIIrd Year visited MoMagic, Noida on the day. Mr. Atul Kumar accompanied the students during the visit to MoMagic, Noida.

Innovation Day-Garland ceremony held as a mark of honor for the legend- Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Today, 15^th October 2018, 87^th birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is celebrated as Innovation Day in IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad.  Garland ceremony was held as a mark of honor for the legend. The journey of his life was talked about by the faculties and students which inspired the audience immensely. His numerous contributions to the nation were applauded by one and all. Inspiring stories from his life were narrated by different people present in the ceremony. Poetry regarding his achievements and contribution in nation’s growth was recited.  A Technical Quiz called “The Wise Quacks” was conducted and prizes were distributed to the brilliant students. Inspiring quotes such as “Simple Living and High Thinking” & “To Shine Like a Sun, First Burn Like a Sun” that were hallmark of his great life were read to mark the end of the ceremony.

Session on role of competitive programming in career building.

Department of CSE organized a motivation session on role of competitive programming in career building.
Discussion on some of various online programming platforms such as codechef, hackerrank , hackerearth, spoj, topcoder etc.
Session also included the process of prestigious world ‘s contest ACM-ICPC.

Alumni Talk Series – Organized by ECE Department , Mr. Ankit Rathore – HCL Technologies.

An “Alumni Interaction Program” is being organized by the ECE Department in C-Block Auditorium. Mr. Ankit Rathore, a 2014 batch passout student, currently working as Critical Resource in the field of VLSI Design & Embedded Systems, in HCL Technologies, Noida shared his experiences with the students. He advised them to choose their field of interest as soon as possible. He told them about the different fields in which students can make a good career such as VLSI Design, Verification, Device Driver Developers, Embedded System, PCB Designing, etc.  He also motivated them to utilize their time properly. His ideas were well received and appreciated by the students.

Shri Nilesh M. Desai, Deputy Director- ISRO Ahmedabad delivered a guest lecture and highlighted the various ambitious projects of ISRO including “MOM” and “Chandrayaan”.
Shri S.C. Mathur (Retired) Group Director- ISRO Ahmedabad and Shri S N Goel Alumni-IIT Roorkee also graced the occasion.
